DAVIE FL (UPI) -- A couple who ran a nudist camp in South Florida for almost four decades have moved on.
Janice Youngman said she and her husband Charles, both in their 70s, decided to sell the Seminole Health Club in Davie because he finds a need to wear clothes as he gets older.
"My husband's cold all the time," she told the Miami Herald. "He's got to wear a jacket."
The Youngmans brought up their four children at the club, and their daughter, Cindy, was Miss Nude Florida of 1976. They sponsored nude volleyball teams and a nude theater group and had a nude preacher for Sunday morning services.
In June, the couple sold the club to a non-nudist, Patrick Toma, and bought a house in Pompano Beach. Janice Young said they have no plans to go nude in their new home, but they can always fence the yard if they are tempted to return to the lifestyle, the Herald said.
Lions receiver just signed his own death warrant.
[Chicago Tribune] - It may not necessarily affect betting lines, but Detroit wide receiver Roy Williams entered the guarantee business Monday, declaring that the winner of Sunday's Lions game with the Bears has been determined. By him, at least.
"We will win this game," Williams told Detroit reporters. "Y'all can take that as a guarantee or what not, but we will win this game. You can take that as a guarantee if you want.
"I'm saying when we play the way we are supposed to play, and there's no reason we shouldn't, there's no defense in the league that can stop us. We are our only 'defense.'"
Members of the Bears defense likely will take issue with Williams' declaration. In fact, they feel pretty much the same about themselves. "We can only beat ourselves," defensive tackle Tommie Harris said.
"Nobody else can."
The Lions managed just two field goals in their last-play, 9-6 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
"It was stupid how close we were to putting 40 points on the board," Williams said.
“Catherine – The Eddie Van Halen Sacred Sin Cut” Now Available At Company
Web Site and YouTube
(Chatsworth, CA) Ninn Worx, in association with EVH, proudly launches
“Catherine – The Eddie Van Halen Sacred Sin Cut”, a new, full length music
video available at the film company’s web site www.ninnworx.com/sacredsin.
Two versions of the video can be found on YouTube. One features the
legendary guitarist exclusively in his famed studio 5150, the other
injects segments of Ninn Worx’ epic title “Catherine” into the mix.
The bed track was originally written by Loren Alexander for the soundtrack
to last year’s award winning title “Catherine”.
Inspired by the power of the original piano piece, Eddie composed drum and
guitar tracks, adding depth and further enhancing the composition. Once
completed, Ninn felt compelled to add the remake to the soundtrack of
“Sacred Sin” as well as film the music videos.
“Working with Eddie is a dream come true. What he brought to the musical
mix of
Catherine is nothing short of brilliant. He amazes me daily with both his
work ethic and his love for his craft.”
Eddie is proud of his contribution and feels that the final product is “a
powerful piece of music”. “I put my heart and soul into it”, he said.
“Catherine – The Eddie Van Halen Sacred Sin Cut” is featured on the
soundtrack to Ninn Worx’ highly anticipated feature film “Sacred Sin”
which releases September 13th.
Eddie Van Halen contributes one other song to the “Sacred Sin” soundtrack
“Rise” which can also be seen at www.ninnworx.com/sacredsin or

MANASSAS, VA (UPI) -- A Virginia man convicted when he was 18 of having sex with his sister is suing the state to prevent them from posting him as a sexual offender on the Internet.
Identified as John Doe in court documents, the 31-year-old is an aquatics coach in the Washington area but that's all he wants known about him, The Washington Post reported Monday.
The man pleaded guilty to incest in February 1994 when his sister was 14, and the arrest warrant says his sister told police sexual acts had been going on for seven years.
Doe was sentenced to 90 days in jail, with all of it suspended if he stayed out of trouble and got counseling. In March 1995, Doe fulfilled his obligations and was released from probation, the newspaper said.
However, Virginia's online sex offender registry was expanded to include all sex offenders, even if they were non-violent, and Doe wants to keep his name off of it.
"The registry would severely damage Mr. Doe's ability to maintain or gain employment, his standing in the community and general livelihood, causing irreparable injury that cannot be compensated by monetary damages," his lawsuit claims.
- [News.com.au] - The Australian Taxation Office is investigating the sex industry in Darwin, sources have revealed.
Several escorts told the Northern Territory News last night that some escort agencies may have to close because of the inquiry.
It is believed some agencies owe more than $1million in tax.
The debt was accrued over several years because owners failed to pay GST.
Some agencies also owe thousands of dollars to escorts in missed superannuation payments.
Many of the escorts owed money were not aware they were entitled to super payments until completing a small business course organised by the agencies.
One escort worker, who did not want to be identified, said the sex industry in the Top End could collapse if agencies could not negotiate a deal with the tax office.
"Some agencies have not been paying the proper amount of GST since it was introduced," she said. ``Most of the escorts are owed super.
``We only learned about that this year when we did a small business course and were told that a sub-contractor, which we are, has to be paid super when we derive more than 80 per cent of our income from one employer.
``That applies to most of the escorts in the Territory but, as far as I know, none have received any super payments as yet.
``If the ATO wants to force the issue then the agencies will have no option but to close.
``Excuse the pun, but if that happens the industry up here will be left on its knees.''
Territorians are the biggest users of escorts Australia-wide.
Blondies Escorts manager Kate Fraser said escort agencies around Australia were being investigated by the ATO.
``I know I pay my tax,'' she said.
``We collect GST on the full booking fee unless the girls have their own ABN number and invoice us for their GST component.
"As for superannuation, most of our girls are working for us short-term so don't provide more than 80 per cent of their yearly income.''
Sex Worker Outreach Project officer Sam Bowden said SWOP supported the right of sex workers to be paid superannuation and encouraged escorts to pay the appropriate GST amounts.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - The 20-year-old son of Anna Nicole Smith died suddenly in the Bahamas on Sunday, three days after the former Playboy Playmate gave birth to a girl, Smith's attorney said.
A statement from Howard K. Stern, Anna Nicole Smith's attorney, did not provide any details of Daniel Smith's death, and he declined to comment when contacted by Reuters.
"We have yet to learn the cause of death but do not believe that drugs or alcohol were a factor," Stern said in the statement. "Anna Nicole is absolutely devastated by the loss of her son. He was her pride and joy and an amazing human being."
Daniel Smith was in the Caribbean nation where his mother, 38, gave birth to a healthy girl on Thursday, Stern said.
He appeared in "The Anna Nicole Show," a reality TV series that aired on the E! cable channel.
Since being named Playboy's Playmate of the Year in 1993, the former Vicki Lynn Hogan from Mexia, Texas, has never been far from the public spotlight. In 1994, she married wheelchair-bound oil tycoon J. Marshall Howard, 89, after meeting him at a strip club.
His death, after 14 months of marriage, triggered a legal battle over his estate between Smith and his son, E. Pierce Marshall. Earlier this year, she won a U.S. Supreme Court decision giving her another chance to collect millions of dollars. Pierce Marshall died in June.
Smith has not said who fathered her second child.
[Newark Star-Ledger] Edison, New Jersey- The adult film business has long been centered in Southern California, where the temperate climate and permissive legal atmosphere have made it a hotbed for X-rated productions.
So what is being billed as the first-ever "monument" to the adult film industry would naturally end up in California, right?
Well, not exactly.
Marilyn Chambers, say hello to Edison, New Jersey.
The former Ivory Snow cover girl and star of the 1972 X-rated classic "Behind the Green Door" is among 41 adult film performers who will be part of the Playtime Adult Star Path of Fame, about to be installed at Playtime, an adult store on Route 1.
"We wanted to honor those adult stars who helped blaze the path in the early days of the modern adult industry," said Deirdre Krasner, owner of Playtime, the state's oldest continuously operated adult store. "I saw a need to honor their accomplishments and memorialize them for future generations."
The Adult Star Path of Fame, which will be installed in the ground outside Playtime's entrance, consists of 41 gray bricks, each laser-etched with the performer's name and a star. Playtime originally wanted to name it the Adult Star Walk of Fame but reconsidered when the people behind the Hollywood Walk of Fame reminded the store they owned the rights to the phrase "Walk of Fame," according to Mike Drake, Playtime's merchandise manager.
The Adult Star Path of Fame may be the first of its kind, but it is not the only sidewalk or roadside tribute to the adult film industry. About a dozen adult film performers have left impressions of their hands or feet on the sidewalk outside the Hustler Hollywood store in West Hollywood, Calif., according to Mark Kernes, senior editor at Adult Video News magazine.
"That's cute," Kernes said when told of the Adult Star Path of Fame. "Considering how much pleasure these porn stars gave millions of Americans over the years, they certainly deserve a monument."
For many, Chambers will be the most recognizable name; "Behind the Green Door" was the first porn film widely distributed in this country. There are bricks for X-rated film legends Vanessa Del Rio, John Holmes, Harry Reems, Seka, Ron Jeremy, Annie Sprinkle and Georgina Spelvin, among others. The newer generation of performers is represented by the likes of Jenna Jameson, Paris Hilton and Tera Patrick.
Choosing the initial 41 inductees -- Playtime plans to add several stars every year -- wasn't easy.
"We spent months reviewing adult film history, gauging popularity and interviewing industry insiders," said Nick Smerecki, Playtime's general manager. "We've done our best to include actors and actresses who have made a difference in the industry. In the future, we may expand it to include directors, producers, publishers and others."
Concurrent with the Adult Star Path of Fame, Playtime is assembling an adult film time capsule that will be buried in two weeks and unearthed in 2042, the 69th anniversary of the store's opening.
This, as one would expect, is not your ordinary time capsule. Playtime sought, and received, donations of items from adult film studios and performers. Items collected so far include adult movies, videos and photographs; lingerie; the first issue of Puritan Magazine, an adult magazine published in the 1970s, and signed replicas of male and female genitalia.
"If someone sends something, we'll put it in there," Drake said. "We haven't run out of room."
The Playtime Capsule, and the Adult Star Path of Fame, will be formally dedicated Sept. 16. At least one of the honorees, Joanna Angel ("Joanna's Angels"), will attend. An invitation has been extended to Paris Hilton.
"All of us hope she is able to join us," said Playtimexxx.com webmaster John Charles, "but frankly, we're more excited about Joanna Angel visiting."
- With the two Monday night games yet to be played, the Legends' crew has posted a 10-4 record up to this point.
It is way to early to figure which teams are going to struggle and which teams will have productive seasons, but we did see some surprises following week one. The two biggest surprises came in the Tampa v. Baltimore and Carolina v. Atlanta games. Are the Ravens that good or are the Bucs that bad? The Falcons went to Carolina and put a beating on the Panthers. The biggest shock of the day however came with the St. Louis Rams giving it to the Denver Broncos.
The Legends' point of view of week 1 -
Steelers 28 Miami 17 (W) - Culpepper sucked last year before his injury. Without Randy Moss he's just an average QB. Don't worry Dolphins' fans, you get Buffalo at home Sunday. But those Bills played well against the Pats...
Seahawks 9 Lions 6 (W) - Detroit fans should be thrilled with the way the Lions played. Seahawk fans should be thrilled they have a solid kicker.
Jets 23 Tennessee 16 (L) - So much for the concern about Chad Pennington's arm surgery.
Rams 18 Denver 10 (L) - May have been the biggest surprise of the day. St. Louis loves their kicker today. Five turnovers for Denver. Better clean that up in a hurry.
New England 19 Bills 17 (W) - Almost the upset of the YEAR! Are the Bills that good or did the Patriots take them to lightly?
Eagles 24 Houston 10 (W) - Biggest "lock" of the weekend.
Atlanta 20 Carolina 6 (L) - Falcons made a statement.
Cincinnati 23 Chiefs 10 (W) - Bengals looked real good.
Baltimore 27 Tampa 0 (L) - What the hell happened to the Bucs? Ravens' defense looked good.
New Orleans 19 Cleveland 14 (W) - Browns take the early lead in the race for next year's #1 draft pick derby.
Chicago 26 Packers 0 (W) - Bears give it to the Packers in the moon and made them like it.
Jacksonville 24 Dallas 17 (W) - Jags come back for the win.
Arizona 34 49ers 27 (W) - Kurt Warner had a good game against an improved 49ers' team.
Indianapolis 26 Giants 21 (W) - Peyton v. Eli. Who cares. The Colts made fewer mistakes than the Giants. Simple as that.
NAGASAKI, Japan (UPI) -- Leave it to the enterprising Japanese to invent a wheelchair with a built-in handy-dandy toilet that cleans, dries and deodorizes the occupant's rear-end.
The Mainichi Daily News reported Saturday that a Nagasaki company, Japan Oasis, spent some six years developing the all-in-one toilet and wheelchair they expect will benefit the disabled and the elderly who can purchase it or rent it for a nominal fee.
No one would ever be the wiser as to what was going on in the chair except for the fact that users will be required to don special trousers and underpants, the report said. When nature calls, they would simply evacuate through a hole in the chair. Then a nozzle would spray out water that ostensibly cleans the user before warm air finishes off the area.
Shuichi Suehiro, president of the venture firm, is applying for a patent on the device that should be a dream come true for caregivers of the elderly and the incontinent.
